Defendant was charged with Reckless Driving and admitting to Possession of Marijuana in his vehicle and having smoked the marijuana before driving, in addition to exhibiting intoxicated behavior.
DUID charge was avoided. The Possession of Marijuana charge (Va Code 18.2-248) was AMENDED and REDUCED to Paraphernalia, with just a fine; no active jail time, no drug tests, no community service, and no license suspension. The Reckless Driving charge was REDUCED to a speeding citation with a fine.
