We offer a flat-rate that is paid upfront for most legal fees.
The legal fee for any criminal case is determined based on the nature of the charge, evidence and witnesses involved, the nature of the motions and other court documents we will need to file, the amount of anticipated preparation time and courtroom time, and other such factors.
Certain common misdemeanor offenses, such as DUI, Reckless Driving, or Shoplifting Larceny cases have pre-set flat fees. Felony charges will have much higher legal fees than misdemeanor charges.
We do not have any hidden fees. Our clients are notified upfront of all fees and costs prior to retaining.
Please call or email us to inquire about legal fees for your particular case.
We accept wire transfers, credit cards, cashiers checks, and money orders. We do not offer payment plans, but you can use your credit card for your legal fees and pay back your card company on their terms.
Legal fees are due upfront in order to retain attorney representation.

FAQ How do I find a lawyer? How do I choose a lawyer?
A. Your criminal defense lawyer will be defending you against criminal accusation and helping you understand the nature of the charges against you. The first qualification is that you must feel comfortable enough to tell your lawyer, honestly and completely, all the facts necessary to understand the extent of your case and the potential for, or the breadth of, the case against you.
A. There are many ways to find a skilled and reliable lawyer. One of the best is a recommendation from a trusted friend, relative, or business associate. Be aware, however, that each legal case is different and that a lawyer who is right for someone else may not suit you or your legal problem. You need to make sure that the attorney’s abilities or experience match the needs of your case.
A. Aside from the lawyer’s experience, accolades, and background, the lawyer’s personality will matter as well. Pay particular attention to the chemistry between you and your lawyer. No matter how experienced and well-recommended a lawyer is, if you feel uncomfortable with that person during your first meeting or two, you may never achieve an ideal lawyer-client relationship. Trust your instincts and seek a lawyer who is compatible with you and who you trust to tell everything to.
A. You want a lawyer who will work hard on your behalf and follow through promptly on all assignments. You want to ask upfront the lawyer’s usual response time. We usually respond to clients same-day, for example.
A. No. Virginia criminal defense lawyers cannot ever guarantee a result in any criminal case. This is because of the nature of criminal cases and the ethical rules guiding lawyers in Virginia.
A. Attorney fees are based on a combination of their experience and your particular legal issue. Criminal defense attorneys commonly offer flat fee services. Attorney fees are due upfront in order to retain a lawyer to represent you. Attorneys accept cash, credit cards, and certified funds.
