FAIRFAX COUNTY, VIRGINIA: Juvenile client was charged with Felony Grand Larceny (VA Code 18.2-95) and Class 1 Misdemeanor Petit Larceny (VA Code 18.2-96). Charges will be DIVERTED and thus DISMISSED before they can be entered into the criminal system, and so the client is able to keep a clean record. Conditions of diversion are completion of 25 hours of community service and a victim impact class in a 3 month timespan.

§ 18.2-250.1. Possession of marijuana unlawful
It is unlawful for any person knowingly or intentionally to possess marijuana unless the substance was obtained directly from, or pursuant to, a valid prescription or order of a practitioner while acting in the course of his professional practice, or except as otherwise authorized by the Drug Control Act.
